Nonviolent Communication - Introductory Weekend Workshop
August 25th 10.45 - 18.00 & August 26th 10.45 - 17.15
A weekend workshop with Claudia and Martin Althaus on the 'Language of Life', based on the ideas of the psychologist Marshall Rosenberg.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) gives you a liberating viewpoint on human interaction. Do you have thoughts like: Was it my fault? Why did the situation get so out of hand? Why did the other person react like that? What can I do with my anger?
Nonviolent Communication shows you new approaches to make your conversations succeed, even when they are about touchy subjects. Based on your real-life examples we will practice how to express your feelings and needs without being judgmental, and how to give empathy to yourself, your partner, family members, friends and colleagues, especially in critical situations.
Learning this ‘Language of Life’ is a great opportunity for more success and self-awareness. It changes the way we look at and deal with other people and with ourselves.
Nonviolent Communication - Advanced Practitioner Weekend Workshop
October 6th 10.45 - 18.00 & October 7th 10.45 - 17.15
This workshop is designed for participants who already have been to an NVC foundation training of two days or more and who would like to deepen their understanding of the concept as well as practice its application in daily life.
After a short repetition of the ‘Four Steps’ you will hear more about topics like self-empathy, key differentiations in NVC, how to deal with criticism, saying ‘No’ and reacting to a ‘No’, expressing gratitude, interrupting in conversations, what to say instead of blame and praise, formats for well-structured dialogue and using the NVC dancefloor.
You will immediately test new approaches within small work groups and compare your findings during plenary sessions. For an optimum learning experience, you should be willing to bring along and share real-life examples, where a communication episode did not go the way you would have liked.
NVC Practice Group with Claudia & Martin Althaus
August 24th 19.45 - 22.00
October 5th 19.45 - 22.00
We reflect which feelings and needs are currently most alive in us and we give each other empathy in the NVC way. As there will be no specific tuition, participants should have previously experienced NVC at least e.g. in a two-day training.
